Closed Cell Spray Foam Insulation for Shipping Containers
Closed-cell spray foam is one of the most effective ways to insulate a shipping container. Applied directly to the steel walls, cargo doors, and ceiling, it creates a seamless thermal and vapor barrier that helps control temperature, moisture, and condensation.
Choose between 2" or 3" insulation depending on how you plan to use your container.
Insulation Options
2" Closed Cell Spray Foam — Approximately R-12 to R-14
A great choice for workshops, storage, and most conditioned spaces. Provides excellent insulation while keeping cost down.
3" Closed Cell Spray Foam — Approximately R-18 to R-21
Recommended for offices, living spaces, and applications where maximum heating and cooling efficiency is important.
Closed-cell spray foam typically provides approximately R-6 to R-7 per inch.
Underfloor Insulation
Choose Interior + Underfloor for a more complete thermal envelope.
Underfloor spray foam helps:
- Reduce heat loss and heat gain through the container floor
- Keep floors warmer during cold weather
- Improve HVAC efficiency
- Reduce temperature differences between the floor, walls, and ceiling
- Improve comfort in offices and other regularly occupied spaces
For basic storage or applications where maximum climate control isn't necessary, interior insulation without underfloor foam may be sufficient.

DELIVERY
Cascade Container Delivery Method
We use a truck with a tilt-bed trailer to deliver your container. Our skilled driver backs into the delivery spot, tilts the trailer, and carefully lowers the container into place. To ensure a smooth delivery, please provide enough clearance:
- 80 feet straight-line clearance for 10' or 20' containers.
- 120 feet straight-line clearance for 40' containers.
For hard-to-reach places, we offer crane services at an additional fee, ensuring your container is exactly where you need it.
